LUNARIS NETWORK
Mods & resource pack
This page summarizes what we allow on our Java Edition servers. It does not replace the Rules—if something gives you an unfair advantage, treat it as not allowed unless staff say otherwise.
Not allowed
- Hacked clients and any mod that adds combat, movement, or world exploits (killaura, flight, speed, no-clip, scaffold, etc.).
- X-ray or texture packs / mods that reveal ores, caves, players, or entities through walls.
- Automation that plays the game for you — autoclickers, macros, or bots for mining, PvP, or economy.
- Anything that tampers with packets or the server in ways the vanilla client cannot.
Breaking these can result in warnings, kicks, or bans under our gameplay fairness rules.
Generally allowed (use common sense)
- Performance and graphics — OptiFine, Sodium, Iris, Vulkan mods, and similar, as long as they don’t add unfair features.
- Cosmetic UI — zoom, FPS counters, coordinate display, inventory tweaks that don’t auto-play or reveal hidden information.
- Shader packs — if your PC can handle them.
Some game modes are stricter (e.g. competitive PvP). If staff ask you to disable a mod for a specific server, you should comply.
Minimaps and world info
Minimaps that only show terrain you’ve already explored are usually fine. Features that show players, caves, or entities you shouldn’t see — treat as not allowed. When in doubt, ask in Discord before using them on competitive modes.
Resource packs
- Your own resource packs — allowed for visuals and sounds, as long as they don’t act like x-ray or give unfair information.
- Server-required packs — if we ever ask you to download a pack to join a world, you’ll be told in-game or on the website; use that version for the best experience.
Bedrock
Our primary focus is Java Edition. If you connect with Bedrock via a bridge, use only the official client and follow the same fairness principles—no third-party tools that replicate hacked-client behavior.
